Baltimore, MD -- March 10, 2003
-- State’s Attorney Patricia C. Jessamy announced today that the Grand Jury
handed down a first-degree murder indictment against Brian Christopher Clark,
27, of the 1900 Block of McHenry Street for the beating death of Norman Edward
Jackson, Jr., 31.
According to
the indictment, Mr. Jackson was allegedly assaulted by the defendant on
September 29, 2002 in the 200 Block of S. Addison Street.
At that time, Clark was arrested and indicted for attempted murder. However, on November 21, 2002, Mr. Jackson died from the
injuries received in the assault, at which time the medical examiner ruled his
death a homicide.
Clark is being held at the Baltimore
City Detention Center without bail. An arraignment is scheduled for Friday,
April 4, 2003 before Judge Paul A. Smith.
