BALTIMORE CITY GRAND JURY INDICTS JASON MOODY &
STEPHANIE MADARIAGA FOR FIRST-DEGREE MURDER 

Moody & Madariaga Charged In Death Of Madariaga’s Ex-Husband 

            Baltimore, MD -- September 13, 2003 -- State’s Attorney Patricia C. Jessamy announced today that the Baltimore City Grand Jury returned an indictment September 8, 2003 charging Jason Moody, 28, of the 2800 block of Gates Head Court, Abingdon, and Stephanie Madariaga, 24, of the 3300 block of Clarks Lane, with first-degree murder, and conspiracy to commit first-degree murder.  Moody was also indicted for accessory after the fact to murder. 

The indictment alleges that on July 12, 2003 Moody and Madariaga killed Madariaga’s ex-husband, Kevin Shields, 26, following a heated argument in the parking lot of Madariaga’s apartment complex in the 3300 block of Clarks Lane. 

An arraignment will be scheduled at a later date.
