RONALD HINTON MURDER AND RAPE TRIAL SCHEDULED FOR MONDAY, APRIL 21, 2008

 

Baltimore, MD – April 18, 2008 – The murder and rape trial of Ronald Hinton, 16, of the 5300 block of Morello Road, is scheduled for 9:30AM Monday, April 21, 2008 before Judge Timothy J. Doory, 226 Mitchell Courthouse, 110 N. Calvert St.

 

The Baltimore City Grand jury indicted Hinton July 7, 2006 for first-degree murder, first-degree rape and other sex offense and child abuse counts.

 

Court documents allege on June 21, 2006 Hinton, who was 14 at the time, raped and severely beat a four-year old girl at a residence in the 2900 block of Goodwood Road.  Ja’Niya Williams died two days later.

 

Hinton remains held without bail at the Baltimore City Detention Center.  Assistant State’s Attorney and Sex Offense Division Chief Jo Anne Stanton will prosecute this case.
