CATHERINE PALMER INDICTED FOR ACCESSORY-AFTER-THE-FACT

Baltimore, MD – May 12, 2008 – State’s Attorney Patricia C. Jessamy announced today that the Baltimore City Grand Jury indicted Edward Palmer, 59, of the 600 block of N. Clinton Street for first-degree murder and his wife, Catherine Palmer, 46, of the 600 block of N. Clinton Street for accessory-after-the-fact.

Court documents allege that Edward Palmer and Catherine Palmer were responsible for the death of their landlord, James Thomas Daniels on April 13, 2008.  Daniel’s body allegedly was discovered to have been burned beyond recognition in a vacant construction lot near the intersection of Davidson Road and Langley.

Catherine Palmer was released on a $10,000 bail.  Edward Palmer is held without bail at the Baltimore City Detention Center.

An arraignment is scheduled for June 16, 2008 before Judge Sylvester B. Cox, Room 203, Mitchell Courthouse.
