BALTIMORE CITY GRAND JURY INDICTS TROY GARDNER FOR

MURDER AND OTHER COUNTS AND ROBERT JAMES ON CONSPIRACY

Baltimore, MD – June 20, 2008 – State’s Attorney Patricia C. Jessamy announced that the Baltimore City Grand Jury indicted Troy Gardner, 33, of Gwynn Lake Drive for murder and other counts and Robert James, 26, of the 3900 block of Fordleigh Road on conspiracy of murder and other charges on Thursday, June 19, 2008.

Court documents allege that Gardner is responsible for a double shooting in the 2600 block of Oswego Avenue on November 8, 2007. Leonard Hunt was fatally shot several times along with another victim in the unit block. The second victim was treated and released from the hospital.

Robert James was previously indicted on murder and other charges December 14, 2007. His trial is set for June 23, 2008.

An arraignment is scheduled for July 7, 2008 before Judge Sylvester, Room 203, Mitchell Courthouse.
