CALVIN PURYEAR AND LLOYD CHASE MURDER TRIAL SCHEDULED TO BEGIN FRIDAY, APRIL 25, 2008       

 

            Baltimore, MD – April 24, 2008 – The murder trial of Calvin Puryear, 20, of the 2600 block of Dulaney Street and Lloyd Chase, 17, of the 2100 block of McHenry Street is scheduled to begin 9:30AM tomorrow before Judge W. Michel Pierson, 329 Courthouse East, 111 N. Calvert St.

 

            The Baltimore City Grand jury indicted Puryear and Chase August 3, 2007 for first degree murder and other counts.

 

            Court documents allege Puryear and Chase are responsible for stabbing Christine Richardson, 15, on July 10, 2007 in her home in the 300 block of S. Fulton Avenue.  Richardson was stabbed several times and her throat slashed following an argument with the two suspects.  Richardson died the same day.

 

            Assistant State’s Attorney Cynthia Banks of the Homicide Division will prosecute this case.
