KOREY HARRIS FIRST-DEGREE MURDER, ATTEMPTED MURDER TRIAL SCHEDULED TO BEGIN FRIDAY, MARCH 28, 2008

Baltimore, MD – March 27, 2008 – The murder and attempted murder trial of Korey Harris, 18, of the 300 block of Bridgeview Road is scheduled to begin 11:00AM tomorrow before Judge Timothy J. Doory, 226 Mitchell Courthouse, 110 N. Calvert St.

The Baltimore City Grand Jury indicted Harris May 10, 2007 on charges of first-degree murder and attempted first-degree murder.

Court documents allege on April 19, 2007 two shootings occurred in the 2400 block of Seabury Rd. in which Harris was identified as the suspect.  The first victim, Christopher Wayman, 23, was found with a gunshot wound to the head.  He died a short time later at Shock Trauma.  The second victim was shot in the back and survived his injuries.

Harris remains held without bail at the Baltimore City Detention Center.  Assistant State’s Attorney Richard Gibson of the Homicide Division will prosecute this case.
