BRANDON SNEAD FIRST-DEGREE MURDER TRIAL SCHEDULED TO BEGIN MONDAY, APRIL 14, 2008

Baltimore, MD – April 11, 2008 – The murder trial of Brandon Snead, 23, of the 4300 block of Belair Road is scheduled to begin 9:30AM Monday, April 14, 2008 before Judge Timothy J. Doory, 226 Mitchell Courthouse, 110 North Calvert St.

The Baltimore City Grand Jury indicted Snead December 10, 2007 for first-degree murder and handgun counts.

Court documents allege on November 4, 2007 Snead was identified as the person responsible for a shooting incident in the 1000 block of North Broadway.  Norman Smith was found suffering from multiple gunshots.  Smith was allegedly accosted by Snead and then shot as he ran away.  Smith was able to divulge who shot him before he collapsed.

Snead remains held without bail at the Baltimore City Detention Center.  Assistant State’s Attorney Richard Gibson of the Homicide Division will prosecute this case.
