2002 - the BCSAO was one of 62 case studies worldwide to be included in the 2002 Computerworld Honors Laureate Program.

2002 - the BCSAO was nominated for the Daily Record 's Innovator of the Year Awards Program, which was designed to seek out and recognize Maryland organizations and individuals who have introduced innovations that have had a positive effect on their community.

October 2001 - StateTech Magazine highlighted the BCSAO Management Information Systems Division in the article, "Tech Justice for All"

Government Technology Magazine selected the BCSAO to lead a seminar as part of its annual Government Technology Conference in Albany, New York. The seminar topic, "Information Sharing: Best Practices from State and local government" addressed the BCSAO's use of integrated information systems and its impact on State and local government.
