1.31.11: Watts Sentenced to 20 Years for Conspiracy to Distribue Narcotics
January 31, 2011 -- Baltimroe City Circuit Court Judge Gale E. Rasin sentenced Daquan Watts today to 20 years in prison -- 10 of those years without the possibility of parole, the balance suspended -- followed by three years of probation for conspiracy to distribute narcotics.
At the time he was apprehended in the 2300 block of East Hoffman Street for dealing drugs in January 2010, Watts was serving probation for conspiracy to commit first-degree assault and a handgun violation arising from a 2008 attack. He also was on probation for a Baltimore County convictio for drug distribution.
A Baltimore City Circuit Court jury found Watts guity of the most recent conspiracy to distribute narcotics charge on January 21.
Assistant State's Attorney Staci Pipkin prosecuted the case.
