Dear Friends, City students need your help! The Baltimore City State’s Attorney’s Office, Enoch Pratt Free Library, the Baltimore City Public School System, and Baltimore Reads has joined forces to form the Hooked on Books Coalition. Why? There are not enough books for every child. The Hooked on Books Coalition wants to place needed books into the hands of city students. How will the Coalition achieve this goal? Only with your help can city students and the Hooked on Books Coalition be successful. Because of funding shortages in the city school system, we need book donations. How can you help? Donations are needed. Books from the school’s reading list on the Hooked on Books website (www.stattorney.org/hookedonbooks) are needed. New or gently used books can be dropped off or mailed to the Baltimore City State’s Attorney’s Office: 110 N. Calvert Street, Suite 208 West, Baltimore, Maryland 21202; Mark all donations: Attention State’s Attorney’s Office - Hooked on Books. If you wish to make a monetary donation, please make your check payable to Partnership for Learning and mail your contribution to: The Baltimore City State’s Attorney’s Office How will your contribution make a difference? We want to inspire a love of reading in our children and your generosity will place books into the hands of students. The Hooked on Books Coalition extends our thanks and sincere gratitude to those citizens, community associations, businesses, parents and educators who continue to be instrumental in improving the education of city students who might otherwise have been forgotten. It is by working collaboratively that we are able to accomplish so much. |
