For Immediate Release 7/20/2015

The State’s Attorney’s Office would like to recognize and congratulate our intern Silvia Diaz de Moore who will soon travel to her home of Paraguay to watch legislation she authored signed into law. Diaz de Moore’s legislation will recognize the historic and cultural contribution of Afro-Paraguayans.

For Immediate Release 7/17/15

Michael Torres plead guilty to one count of robbery Thursday for a November, 2014 Highlandtown crime. Torres was sentenced to 10 years, suspend all but three years, with two years of probation. Assistant State’s Attorney Jennifer Brady prosecuted the case.

For Immediate Release 7/16/15

William Stanley pled guilty Thursday to second-degree attempted murder and using a handgun during a crime of violence. Stanley was sentenced to 15 years suspend all but eight years for the attempted murder, and 15 years suspend all but five years for the handgun violation. The sentences will run concurrently. Assistant State’s Attorney Erin Valenti prosecuted the case.

Maurice Jones and Michael Matthews pled guilty to robbery with a deadly weapon and a handgun violation in the commission of a crime of violence. The duo is responsible for 7 robberies in a span of several hours.

Thomas Redmond was sentenced to Life plus two years for murdering his former lover Ray Bostick. Redmond was also charged and convicted of theft and use of a deadly weapon.

Tumaini Bakari pled guilty to voluntary manslaughter and use of a handgun in the commission of a crime of violence. 

For Immediate Release 7/13/2015

Jermaine Jenkins, 24 , was sentenced to 5 years in prison, after pleading guilty to first degree assault and the use of a firearm in the commission of a crime of violence. Assistant State’s Attorney Michael Hudak prosecuted this case.

Charick Callaway has been convicted of first degree rape, first degree sex offense, burglary, armed robbery and deadly weapon with the intent to injure.

Raymond Little was sentenced to 12 years in prison after pleading guilty to attempted murder and using a handgun during a crime of violence.

The Office of the State's Attorney for Baltimore City would like to congratulate Assistant State's Attorney Charles Blomquist for being the newly elected Vice President of the Baltimore City Bar Association. Blomquist has been a member of our Homicide unit for 10 years.
