4.21.11: Sex Offender Sentenced to 10 Years for Failing to Notify Agent of Address
April 21, 2011 -- Baltimore City Circuit Court Judge John Addison Howard sentenced Tavon Singletary last week to 10 years in prison for violating the terms of his probation, which he was serving following a 2009 conviction for a sex offense involving a minor.
Singletary, 29, violated his probation by repeatedly failing to provide a probation agent with his valid home address.
Handed down in July 2009, Singletary's original sentence for the second-degree sex offense was 15 years, with all but roughly eight months suspended, and five years of supervised probation.
Assistant State's Attorney Mark Floersheimer prosecuted the violation of probation case with the assistance of Parole Agent Donyetta Lewis.
