The Office of the State’s Attorney for Baltimore City seeks candidates for administrative assistant positions to provide support services to attorneys handling dockets in the Circuit Court of Maryland. The position will be located at 120 East Baltimore Street in Baltimore, Md.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Welcome and assist visitors.
  • Answer incoming phone calls and provide information regarding scheduled trial dates and attorneys handling cases.
  • Assist attorneys with organizing and maintaining trial files; gathering evidence/ records and transcribe statements, videos, or jail calls.
  • Prepare subpoena requests for various documents to include bank records, medical records, phone records, and other business records.
  • Perform clerical work including but not limited to filing court pleadings, archiving closed case files, accepting, receiving and drafting correspondence, motions and indictments.
  • Maintain internal databases.
  • Process incoming mail and deliver outgoing mail.
  • Additional duties as requested.

Qualifications:

Applicants should possess excellent organizational and communication skills, be able to meet deadlines, and be proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Applicants should also possess the ability to work in a high-volume environment.

Salary:

$45,503 starting salary plus benefits
