The Media Producer/Director I will be responsible for executing the organization’s overall multi- media programs including social media, video production, website, SAO website and photography.

The Media Producer/Director I is a highly collaborative role, working directly with internal staff to also support graphic design, video, social media, and email campaigns, as well as the needs of many departments across the agency. This position is often required to work in the evening hours to capture photos and videos of office events or appearances by the State’s Attorney. The position does not involve supervisory duties or responsibilities.


Video Production and Photography:

  • Screen raw footage and edit client videos using FCPX or Adobe Premiere Pro (promotional videos, testimonials, highlight reels, etc.)
  • Produce videos for SAO events and social media pages
  • Develop, direct and edit audio and visual productions according to script guidelines
  • Operates video and still camera equipment
  • Lead agency video shoots when necessary

Social Media:

  • Creates the copy for the social media editorial calendar and works with others on the communications team and around the office to incorporate content they develop into this calendar
  • Develops content including graphics, photos and videos
  • Use site metric tools to track site traffic, performance, and page views, in addition to generating reports for SAO’s social media pages
  • Monitors social media conversations, respond when appropriate and alert upper management if immediate action is required
  • Crafts original content for multiple social media platforms that garner high engagement and represent the voice and brand of the SAO

Digital/Wed Media

  • Responsible for maintaining the SAO internet and Intranet sites
  • Executes livestreaming events on social media
  • Assists with digital marketing efforts, SEO strategy development
  • Duties may also involve working with contractors to ensure appropriate brand consistency
  • Manages all SAO websites and landing pages
  • Works with agency staff and to design, develop and deploy new CMS templates for landing pages, forms and other content pages
  • Uses relevant tools to analyze website traffic and user engagement metrics and optimize user experience
  • Manages content distribution to online channels and social media platforms to increase web traffic
  • Manages the day-to-day site and system issues

Graphic Design:

  • Strong design and visualization abilities with a strong sense of aesthetics and design. Ability to translate complex content into simple visual assets (infographics, graphics, GIFs, presentation slides) and/or coordinate with internal clients. Ability to search for images that associate with content in a compelling way
  • Create visually compelling presentations, and support production of marketing collateral, including info graphics, newsletters, flyers, posters, memes, videos, and photos
  • Assist with graphic design for all printed, electronic and digital communications including but not limited to advertisements, support materials, fact sheets, organizational materials and community handouts


  • Must have experience editing in Final Cut Pro X or Adobe Premiere Pro
  • Ability to professional operate video and camera equipment
  • Expert knowledge and ability to utilize publishing software and create working composition for online interactive designs using, InDesign and other software with the Adobe Creative Cloud
  • Knowledge to handle multiple projects at once and operate effectively in a fast paced, deadline driven environment
  • Computer skills: Macintosh OS X, Microsoft Windows XP, Adobe Creative Suite 2016, Microsoft PowerPoint and Keynote skills required. Experience with AfterEffects and Adobe Captivate a plus
  • Knowledge and ability with social media monitoring and scheduling tools, such as HootSuite or Tweetdeck
  • Comprehensive knowledge of photography, videography and video editing
  • Knowledge and ability to implement additional web-based platforms as new social media applications are created and popularized
  • Ability to produce, direct and edit broadcast quality audio and video packages
  • Experience managing social media accounts
  • Demonstrated strong creative writing skills for content development for various media platforms and external communications
  • Possess working knowledge of media and public relations
  • Possessions of a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
  • Must be punctual and reliable
  • Must be able to occasionally work outside of normal business hours
  • Must be highly organized and a self-starter
  • At least two years of professional and related work experience
  • Must pass the criminal background check 

Salary: $50,013 - $60,785 depending on experience. Benefits are associated with this position.
