Dominic Anderson was convicted by a jury Monday of Murder in the First Degree, Use of a Firearm in the Commission of a Crime of Violence, and of being a Disqualified Person in Possession of a Regulated Firearm. Assistant State’s Attorney Gerard B. Volatile prosecuted the case.
On May 3rd 2015, Khai Hebron was shot 2 times, and died of his injuries. Hebron was in the 3000 block of Elizabeth Ave in the Lakeland community of South Baltimore when he was shot by Anderson. The shooting was caught on camera, and Anderson was identified by a witness.
Hebron was involved romantically with the mother of Anderson’s child. Anderson is facing a life sentence plus 35 years for his crimes.
"I'm happy to see that we've won justice for Mr. Hebron and his family. May 2015 was a particularly violent month last year, and I want the public to know that we have not forgotten about the lives that were lost during that terrible time on our streets and in our communities." State's Attorney Marilyn Mosby said.
