Victims’ Emergency Fund

You're Not Alone. Together We're Stronger.

The Victims’ Emergency Fund (VEF), managed by the Victim & Witness Services Unit of the BCSAO, helps victims with the immediate needs that arise as a result of an encounter with crime.  Over the past four years, the VEF has provided over $85,000 in funds to over 330 victims of crime.  Whether it’s paying the rent of a robbery victim who faced an eviction notice or providing towing and storage fees to a carjacking victim whose stolen car ended up in an impound lot, victim needs are significant and often outweigh available funding.  Each year the BCSAO maintains and increases financial support to the VEF through two annual fundraisers, the Winter Solstice Benefit and the Victims’ Emergency Fund Run/Walk.
