January 27, 2012 -- Baltimore City Circuit Court Judge Gale E. Rasin sentenced Isaiah Crowder today to 45 years in prison for shooting and killing a life-long friend during an early-morning verbal dispute.

On August 15, 2010, at 4:15 a.m., Crowder ended an argument with Isaiah Gordon by shooting him multiple times in the chest and lower body. The victim was transported from the crime scene in the 400 block of East Chase Street to Shock Trauma at the University of Maryland Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.

Crowder was positively identified in a single photo array as being the person who shot the victim. A jury convicted Crowder, 21, on November 28, 2012, of second-degree murder and use of a handgun in a crime of violence.

Assistant State's Attorney Joshua Felsen prosecuted the case.
