Singleton and McRae Case Details:

On January 22, 2025, Baltimore Police were notified of a shooting at the 5400 block of York Road involving multiple victims suffering from gunshot wounds inside of a Honda CRV. Upon arrival, detectives learned that one of the victims, Anntoinette Jennings, was pronounced deceased at the scene. Four other individuals were inside the same vehicle as Ms. Jennings. Two of those victims were shot, including an 11-year-old child; the two additional victims, including a six-year-old child, were unharmed.

CCTV footage showed an altercation at a children's basketball game involving the victim's family and a woman who was later identified as Cassandra McRae. McRae can be seen in the footage leaving the game while making a phone call. She entered a grey sedan which followed the victims' vehicle to the scene of the shooting. CCTV footage showed McRae exit the sedan and approach the victims' vehicle at the rear passenger side. At the same time, two additional male suspects approached the victims' vehicle at the driver's side. McRae touched the vehicle's rear quarter panel and stated "There they go right there, there they go right there." Seconds later, shots were fired into the victims' vehicle by one of the male suspects. All three suspects then fled the scene.

During the course of the investigation, Tavon Singleton was identified as one of the male suspects. The other suspect remains at-large.

Peyton Case Details:

On August 16, 2024, at approximately 6:22 p.m., Baltimore Police responded to the 600 block of Springfield Avenue for a report of a shooting. Upon arrival, officers observed a black male lying on his left side with multiple gunshot wounds to his head and torso. EMS paramedics pronounced the victim, who was later identified as Carroll Wonson, deceased at the scene at 6:30 p.m.

Further investigation revealed that the victim was walking to a nearby convenience store with his two minor grandchildren when they passed an unidentified male who began shooting the victim multiple times in the head and torso.

The crime scene was located in front of 602 Springfield Avenue, where shell casings were located around the victim and on the street. Investigators conducted an area canvass and recovered CCTV footage. Investigators were able to identify the shooter as Bryant James Peyton. The defendant is prohibited from possessing a firearm due to a prior conviction in 2024 for Assault in the Second-Degree.

Reed Case Details:

On December 17, 2024, a couple, both 70 years of age, were at their home on the 5700 block of Nasco Place, where they reside with their grandson, defendant Andrew Reed. The defendant went to his grandfather, who was in the end stages of terminal cancer and limited to a bed, when he began to strike the victim in the face and body and choke him. The defendant was retaliating because his grandmother refused to take him to the smoke shop to purchase marijuana. The defendant's grandmother begged him to stop and began to record the incident. The grandmother called her daughter at work for help. When her daughter entered the home, she observed the defendant striking her mother and her father.

The defendant placed his hands around the neck of both women and forced them to the ground. Once on the ground, the grandmother could not get back up due to her limited mobility. The defendant kept his hands on the neck of his aunt and demanded that she take him to the smoke shop. Fearing for everyone's safety, she agreed to take him to the store. At that point, the defendant released her and allowed her to get up. She subsequently called 9-1-1, and the defendant retreated to the basement.

The defendant's grandfather passed away on December 20, 2024, due to his terminal illness.
