Baltimore, Md. (July 17, 2026) - Today, the Baltimore City State’s Attorney’s Office announced the sentences and convictions in several violent crime cases, including the fatal stabbing of 40-year-old Tyrell Curtis Jones in June 2025 and the fatal shooting of 18-year-old Bryan Stansbury in December 2024.
“The safety of our neighborhoods relies on holding the most violent offenders accountable, and these case outcomes illustrate exactly what our prosecutors accomplish every day. By securing these homicide convictions and significant sentences in attempted murder cases, we are removing dangerous actors from our streets and making Baltimore a safer place for all residents. Equally important, these outcomes affirm our commitment to victims, survivors, and witnesses,” said State’s Attorney Ivan J. Bates. “If they are brave enough to come forward, this Office will stand beside them and relentlessly pursue justice on their behalf. Defendant Idris Ramos was convicted of First-Degree Murder and Deadly Weapon for the fatal stabbing of 39-year-old Tyrell Curtis Jones on June 21, 2025, at the 100 block of S. Broadway Street. The Defendant has a lengthy criminal record of violent offenses in multiple states and faces Life plus three years at sentencing on October 13, 2026.
Defendant Dewitt Jackson was found guilty of First-Degree Murder, Use of a Firearm in the Commission of a Crime of Violence, Home Invasion, Second-Degree Arson, Possession of a Regulated Firearm After a Disqualifying Conviction, and related offenses for the fatal shooting of 18-year-old Bryan Stansbury on December 10, 2024, at the 1100 block of Quantril Way. The Defendant faces Life plus 135 years at sentencing on November 24, 2026.
Defendant Kevin Glenn was sentenced to 55 years of incarceration for two counts of Second-Degree Attempted Murder, Use of a Firearm in the Commission of a Crime of Violence, and related offenses. The Defendant was on federal supervision on September 25, 2025, when he shot at a contractor’s van following a minor traffic collision in the 4000 block of Park Heights Avenue. One of the victims was struck in the face and lost his eye as a result of the shooting.
Defendant Oba Cinque Mitchner was sentenced to 60 years of incarceration for First-Degree Attempted Murder, Use of a Firearm in the Commission of a Crime of Violence, and related offenses. The Defendant shot his girlfriend in the back on May 4, 2025, in the 4000 block of Belwood Avenue after she asked him to return her vehicle. This Defendant has a previous conviction of Second-Degree Attempted Murder for shooting at a former romantic partner.
Defendant Eddie Murphy was sentenced to 80 years of incarceration, with the first 20 years ineligible for parole, for Second-Degree Attempted Murder, Armed Robbery, Use of a Firearm in the Commission of a Crime of Violence, and related offenses. The Defendant entered a business in the 2400 block of St. Paul Street on January 1, 2025, and demanded the employees’ belongings at gunpoint. The store owner attempted to intervene and was subsequently shot multiple times.
Defendant Antonio Nance was found guilty of First-Degree Assault, Use of a Firearm in the Commission of a Crime of Violence, and related offenses for shooting at a person on an MTA bus following an argument on August 12, 2025, at the 2400 block of W. Franklin Street. The Defendant faces 50 years at sentencing on October 9, 2026.
