The Victim & Witness Division reception room is located in the Mitchell Courthouse and was created to provide a more calm, welcoming environment for victims and witnesses. Visitors are greeted by staff who can assist with check‑in, provide guidance, and help with parking validation while they wait for services or court appearances.

The space is designed to help reduce stress and offer comfort during what can be a difficult time

The waiting room was intentionally designed using trauma‑informed principles, with a focus on safety, dignity, and comfort. The goal is to create a space where victims and witnesses can feel supported while waiting, without added pressure or expectation.
