Support & Services
Get guidance and support as you navigate each step of the criminal justice process.
The Victim Witness Division supports victims, witnesses, and their families as they navigate the criminal justice system. We know the process can feel overwhelming—especially after trauma—and our goal is to make sure no one has to go through it alone. Our team provides guidance, updates, and personal support from the moment a case begins through its resolution.
We work closely with Assistant State's Attorneys to help keep you informed, prepared, and supported at every stage. Whether it's explaining what to expect in court, helping you understand your rights, coordinating needed services, or simply offering a steady presence during hearings, our priority is your safety, comfort, and confidence throughout the process. We also offer access to resources such as bilingual services, referrals, safety planning, and our one‑of‑a‑kind Family Bereavement Center for those impacted by losing a loved one to violence.
If you have questions or need help, our Victim Witness team is here for you. You can reach out by phone or email to speak with someone directly.
