Meet the Liaisons

Supporting Baltimore's Communities

Liaisons serve as the face and voice of the office, communicating the work being done on behalf of the residents of Baltimore to them while offering as a conduit for them to communicate their feelings, issues and concerns back to the office through our dedicated liaisons.

Representing the entire City, this unit has nine representatives who represent each of the city's police districts, and works collaboratively with BPD command staff and officers, representatives of the nine Community Relations Council, as well as the dozens of community association and resident council groups across Baltimore.

Connecting Communities

Community Liaisons give the BCSAO a presence in the community, communicating office related matters including but not limited to recent convictions, upcoming events, crime data information including Citations issued and prosecuted, as well as connecting them with the necessary stakeholders within the office and city government.

What Community Liaisons Do

A Community Liaison is essential for bridging the gap between the BCSAO and the people it serves, ensuring that the community is informed, involved, and confident in the justice system.

Build Trust and Confidence

Liaisons work collaboratively with local leaders to build trust and serve as a visible, reliable connection between residents and the State’s Attorney’s Office. By helping communities understand the office’s mission and actions, liaisons support transparency and help reduce fear or mistrust related to the justice system.

Improve External Communication

Liaisons keep community members informed about critical cases, trial dates, and legal processes, ensuring transparency and helping people understand their rights and responsibility.

Support Victims and Witnesses

Liaisons help facilitate victim and community impact statements, connect offenders, witnesses, and victims to necessary resources, and guide them through the legal process.

Strengthen Partnerships

They work with faith-based leaders, business owners, nonprofits, community association and neighborhood groups to create a direct connection between the community and the State’s Attorney’s Office 

Engage in Community Events

From attending meetings to participating in events like our annual Back to School Community Cookout, Older Adult Luncheon and National Night Out, liaisons help the BCSAO be visible and accessible to residents. 

Promote Public Safety and Accountability

By engaging residents, liaisons help identify community concerns, support accountability for violent repeat offenders, and foster a safer environment.
