Prosecutors also secured a life sentence in a quadruple shooting case. 23-year-old Jeremiah Tehohney was found guilty of a brazen shooting in Southwest Baltimore leaving one man dead and three others injured. Investigators allegedly uncovered jail calls where Tehohney admitted “This isn’t my first body.”
Under the leadership of former City State’s Attorney Marilyn Mosby, her controversial ‘no prosecution policy’ meant many low-level crimes never saw the courtroom.
"[License plate readers] allow us to have the probable cause to have these stops, to get the guns out of vehicles, to make sure that in this moment in time a vehicle is potentially stolen," Bates said. "This technology allows the police to do their job.
Bates announced that both parents and their son were indicted on charges related to the triple shooting outside of Caver High School. William Dredden and Tiffany Harrison have been indicted on multiple charges, including first-degree assault and weapons charges.
Baltimore City's State's Attorney Ivan Bates spoke with C4 and Bryan Nehman on Friday and said that he is "feeling confident" about moving forward with evidence surrounding the shooting at Brooklyn Homes.
Earl Lee, 28, of Mid-Govans, was found guilty Friday in Baltimore Circuit Court of first-degree murder, use of a firearm during the commission of a crime of violence, and illegal possession of a regulated firearm, Emily Witty, a spokesperson for the Baltimore State’s Attorney’s Office, said in a text message. The jury deliberated for 45 minutes, according to Witty.

"We have people in neighborhoods and people at these community events who tell us that they know people have been convicted of certain offenses," said Deputy State's Attorney and Chief of Staff for the City State's Attorney’s office Angela Galeano, "But they feel like nothing is being done to curtail the violence."
"This is a tragic case that resulted in the loss of a 13-year-old child's life. Since that time, our city has continued to see young people's lives cut short by gun violence," Baltimore City State's Attorney Ivan Bates said. "This verdict is a testament to the steadfast commitment and skill of our prosecutors, the diligence of law enforcement, and the integrity of our justice system."
