The Social Worker conducts individual and family counseling sessions for survivors of
homicide victims, facilitates adult support group sessions, occasionally accompanies clients to Court, assists clients with obtaining services from social service agencies, develops and maintains treatment plans and case files, and performs other related duties as required. This is an at-will position with no civil service protection.
Qualifications:
Applicants must be licensed as a graduate social worker (or higher) by the Maryland
Board of Social Work Examiners and must have at least one year of assessment and
counseling experience, of which 6 months may be as an intern. Experience in the
criminal justice system is preferred. Applicants must possess excellent oral and written
communication skills, and be highly organized and be able to meet deadlines. Familiarity with HIPPA laws and experience in working with tele-therapy platforms is required. Selected candidate will be required to submit to a criminal background check before starting employment.
Salary: $54,521 - $66,266, depending upon experience. Comprehensive benefits package also associated with this position.
